Kai à la Mode is a children’s media brand from Bowsong Studio: picture books, and the world of Cinnamon Valley around them, built to help young readers find the right mode for every moment.
It started with a puppy.
Kai is a real Australian Shepherd, a red merle with blue eyes who met every new thing in his life at full speed, and was sometimes scared of it anyway. Watching him work out thunderstorms, new friends and big feelings gave us the idea at the center of these books: there is a mode for every moment, and a child can learn to find it.
Bowsong Studio writes and paints Kai à la Mode: the stories, the characters, the valley and the modes. Brave Mode: The Sky Monster is out now. Next comes Friend Mode: The New Kid at the Park.
